Microsoft Excel Software Solutions
Microsoft Excel is usually our tool of choice for providing simple portable applications, and datasets that allow the end-user to intuitively query the data using filters, pivot-tables and charts. Basic Excel skills are now fairly widely held, so sometimes training staff in using custom interfaces would be unproductive.
Some examples of applications we can develop in Microsoft Excel are:
- Manual Data Input Templates - including complex validation checking/correction
- Data Reporting Tools - taking raw data and presenting it with full formatting and charts
- Excel to Word Templates - producing Word documents from data held in an Excel workbook
We usually arrive at these solutions by recording macros and then adjusting them to generalise the way they handle data. This pragmatic approach is very quick, so these solutions offer great value.
